Amelia Beard is the Managing Attorney of Moorhead Law Group’s Santa Rosa Beach, Florida office. She is a seasoned attorney focusing on real estate, probate, estate planning, and business. With 15 years of experience, Amelia is passionate about assisting both individual and business clients in planning for the expected and unexpected, ensuring peace of mind through comprehensive legal strategies. Amelia is committed to providing personalized legal solutions that reflect the unique needs and goals of each client. She enjoys building lasting relationships with clients and guiding them through the legal process with clarity and confidence.
Amelia is involved in the legal profession through service to the Florida Bar and the local community through several organizations. Currently, she is the Vice President of Development on the Board of Directors for the Ronald McDonald House of Northwest Florida Charities, a cause near and dear to her family. Amelia is a former board member of the Estate Planning Council of the Emerald Coast and currently serves on the board of the Building Industry Association of Okaloosa Walton Counties. Amelia serves as Vice Chair of the Civil Procedure Rules Committee of The Florida Bar, is a fellow of the Florida Bar’s Wm. Reese Smith Leadership Academy, Class VII, and a member of the First Circuit Bench & Bar Professionalism Committee. Previously, Mrs. Beard served two terms as President of the Walton County Bar Association. Amelia is an advisor to the board of SOF Missions, a non-profit organization that provides veteran resources and assistance for warriors struggling with PTSD and challenges from military service.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Amelia worked in the mortgage industry and for a non-profit community development association in Atlanta, Georgia. She was also a traveling leadership consultant for her national fraternity, Zeta Tau Alpha.
Amelia moved to Walton County, Florida from Atlanta, Georgia after meeting her husband, a Green Beret formerly with the 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) and now with the 20th Special Forces Group (Airborne). They have two sons and no free time.
