Short-Term Rentals Suspended Until April 30, 2020.
On April 10, 2020, Governor Ron DeSantis issued an Executive Order extending the prohibition against the short-term rental or leasing of units/properties throughout Florida until April 30th, 2020. Executive Order Number 20-103 extends the Governor’s previous Executive Order Number 20-87.
In summary, the orders prohibit the rental of any house, condominium, cooperative, or dwelling unit on a short-term basis (defined as a period of less than 30 days or 1 calendar month) while the orders remain in place. Executive Order Number 20-103 shall expire on April 30, 2020, unless extended by a subsequent order.
This Order will impact how many Associations conduct day-to-day operations.
