Short-Term Rentals Still Prohibited Heading into May

Governor Ron DeSantis issued Executive Order Number 20-112 on April 29, 2020, extending the prohibition against the short-term rental or leasing of units/properties throughout Florida for the duration of the Order. No definitive expiration date has been set.  In summary, the Order prohibits the rental of any house, condominium, cooperative, or dwelling unit on a short-term basis (defined as a period of fewer than 30 days or 1 calendar month) while the Order remains in place.

In addition, Executive Order Number 20-112 extends the Governor’s previous Executive Order Number 20-71 requiring all gyms and fitness centers to remain closed.

This Order will impact how many Associations conduct day-to-day operations.  If you need any assistance, please contact us at CAGroup@moorheadlaw.com, and we will reply to your message as soon as possible.
