Kasey A. Feltner is a member of the real estate practice group in the firm’s Pensacola office. His practice focuses on a broad range of complex real estate, land use, and commercial litigation matters. He has extensive experience regarding both litigation and transactions related to real property. Kasey has represented COAs, HOAs and planned communities in commission hearings across Florida, as well as condemnors and condemnees in eminent domain proceedings in both state and federal courts. He has represented commercial clients in landlord/tenant disputes, land use disputes, ad-valorem tax challenges, utilities right-of-way and easement disputes, impact fee challenges, and sober living facilities in FHA/ADA discrimination lawsuits.
Kasey’s experience in the real estate industry includes the representation of clients in matters related to fair housing issues, broker compliance, habitability claims, personal injury or property claims (to include quiet title, foreclosure, title insurance), contract negotiation and drafting, as well as leasing issues, among other matters.
Prior to his legal career, Kasey served on active duty with the United States Coast Guard. He has extensive knowledge and background in admiralty law, regulatory compliance for the commercial boating/shipping industry, and bare-boat charters. In his role as the Commercial Vessel Branch Chief for Sector St. Petersburg, he oversaw and coordinated the commercial shipping industry for Port Tampa Bay. As a Reserve Officer, he served as the officer overseeing cruise ship compliance for Port Cape Canaveral. He currently serves in the United States Coast Guard Reserve as a CG Legal Officer.
