Couch and Beard Named Partner at Moorhead Law Group
Moorhead Law Group is pleased to announce that Matt Couch and Amelia Beard have been named Partner with the firm. “Matt and Amelia being named Partner recognizes their significant achievements with our firm,” says Steve Moorhead, Moorhead Law Group’s founder and managing partner. “They are not only excellent attorneys but also community leaders who exemplify the qualities our firm represents.”
Matt Couch practices in Moorhead Law Group’s litigation group in the Pensacola office. His practice areas include real estate and construction disputes, business litigation, and employment law. He also assists small business clients with a variety of matters, including employment issues as well as drafting and reviewing various corporate documents.
Matt earned his J.D., with honors, from Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama, in 2011. Following law school, he served as a law clerk to Judge Sharon L. Blackburn on the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Alabama. After his clerkship, Matt built and solidified his reputation as a skilled litigator at a large Birmingham law firm, where he represented local and national clients in a wide array of legal matters. He is licensed to practice law in Florida and Alabama.
Missing family, friends, and the Gulf Coast, Matt and his wife Mary Ann decided to move their growing family back home to Pensacola in 2019. Matt is dedicated to working tirelessly to achieve the best possible outcome for the clients he represents. His legal knowledge, tenacity, and engaging personality help him to effectively advocate for his clients both in and out of the courtroom. As an avid distance runner, Matt understands that hard work and persistence are necessary to achieve desired results. He applies that same approach to his legal practice.

Her practice includes all aspects of real estate development, financing, closings, and disputes; probate and estate planning; business formation; and civil litigation.
